JIBBBUS - Freestyle Contest- Snowboard & Ski - 15 y 16 de diciembre 2007 (Salardú - Valle de Aran)El domingo 9 de diciembre, a solo 5 días de la fecha programada para el evento, no había gota de nieve en el Valle de Aran por lo que la dirección del JIBBBUS decidió aplazar el evento hasta que las condiciones mejoraran. Las previsiones para entonces eran pésimas: un anticiclón se plantaría donde no debía y mandaría las borrascas fuera de alcance. De todas maneras daban una chance de una tormentilla que entraría por Noroeste.El lunes 10/12 comenzó a nevar y no paró hasta acumular medio metro en casi todo el Valle. Las temperaturas bajaron, bajaron y bajaron. De un momento a otro las condiciones se volvieron óptimas para la construcción del módulo. Se reactivó el planing llamando y mandando mails a todos los riders. Tanto nevó que hasta se pudo completar el boceto original que incluía un quarter de al final de la recepción. Eso sí, nunca imaginamos que iba alcanzar los 3 metros.El martes 11/12 con tremendo paquete por todo Salardú (a 4 km de Baqueira) comenzamos la construcción del circuito haciendo los grandes movimientos de nieve con la ayuda de una pala mecánica. Para el día jueves y después de unas 70 paladas aprox. todo el módulo ya estaba casi listo. Solo faltaban los retoques que a partir del día viernes la gente de ASP Snowparks se encargaría de realizar. Ese mismo viernes por la noche el Pelado testeó el circuito dando el OK con una sonrisa que casi le parte la cara.Una vez probado el módulo nos metimos de lleno con el quarter hasta tarde. A eso de la 1 y media de la mañana, los shapers de ASP dejaban el circuito como si lo hubiesen cortado con un cutter: "PERFECTO"El sábado a las 14 hr. se abrió el módulo para que los riders realizaran las primeras pruebas. Momento donde el speakers Pisha y el Dj Marcos ubicados dentro del bus, empezaran a meter caña por los altavoces. Una y otra vez la aguja de los discos saltaba con cada riders al pasar jibbeando por el techo del bus.A las 16 hr. del sábado comenzaron las clasificaciones con las rondas de ski (el mejor de 2 tiros) y al finalizar estos, los de snowboard se batieron en otra doble ronda quedando clasificados para el domingo.El domingo, igualmente que el sábado, las pruebas se iniciaron a las 14 y a las 16 dieron inicio las finales comenzando por las de ski y continuando con las de snowboard.La organización del evento estuvo a cargo de SnowboardMaster, pero no hubiese sido posible sin la colaboración del Ajuntament Deth Naut Aran, Albergue Era Garona, Torisme Val d'Aran, ASP Snowparks y Guía de Ocio Val d' Aran.Sumado a estos, agradecemos la ayuda brindada por: Mombisurf, Völkl, Vans, Elan, Snowplanet, Ski/Rev, Solo Nieve, Squaters, Surfer Rule Snowboard, Top Mag, Playground, Diari El Segre, Eth Clot, Era Copa, Hotel Pirene, Sol Vielha, Burton Baqueira, Nevasport.com, Radicalboard.com, Canalsnowboard.com, Zonassnowboard.com, Apiedepistas.es, Burka y Laxavala.A los Jueces: Vic González, Willi, Edu, Kike.También pusieron su esfuerzo: Pelado, Facu, Patxi, Cañy, Pisha, Alba...Mas información: www.snowboardmaster.com
