Ladder 2 was traveling North on 8th Avenue, in what appeared to be in the southbound lane and collided head-on with a car around 12:30 Friday afternoon. The driver of the car had to be extricated from the vehicle and is being treated for injuries at a local hospital. The driver of the fire truck is distraught and being treated at a local hospital. 8th Avenue was closed for most of the afternoon while the Bethlehem Police investigated. The crime scene unit was also called to the scene.
