Back in February, I described an approach that could be used to convert a mouse pointer position into a hexagonal co-ordinate, which used a coloured mousemap to identify which hexagon the user clicked on. At the time I mentioned another method that involved splitting the map into sections and then calculating the gradient of the lines to establish which hexagon the user clicked on.
