I believe a few of you find the 'teeth' concept on the Richards ASLs interesting, I do myself. I finally managed to catch a truck...On the holidays I was very lucky to find this one in Canterbury City Council collecting the recycling in the units. The day was pretty mucked up and I only ended up getting there just after midday along the way there it was disappointing watching a bunch of trucks driving to the dump, but a little luck came my way later on. Ive been planning this since Christmas and it still hasnt worked out properly, but not the first.Ive discovered this is the last Sydney council that still uses teeth for the trucks, the rest are found in the Solo RR and JR Richards operations north of Sydney (where I should be journeying these upcoming holidays, to where I can). Nowadays, the teeth are only really used on split trucks and a few standard ones here and there - youll find that now a lot of trucks will have grabbers.Anyway, youll see theres nothing much to it really - its not as easy as it looks until you get the experience. Hope you enjoy, rate and comment. When Im back there during Christmas, Ill get the garbage, greens and recycling on a standard residential route and maybe even bulk waste if Im lucky.
