Come on guys, we can't even get to 6 comments anymore?? I'm trying to figure out something for the journalism story i'm writing, so while i wait for something to hit me i'll do this. Make sure you've read 12! ---- {Riley's P.O.V.} "She's turning more and more into you everyday," Dad said to me as Rebecca ran up the stairs. If my head wasn't still throbbing like no other, I'd probably have had some smart remark to respond to that, but instead I just rubbed my temples. A second later, Nick came in carrying two plates. So that was the problem. He must have done something stupid. I knew my little sister, and I knew she liked Nick. God, why do guys have to be so stupid? "Nicholas, what happened out there?" Mom asked. "I'm not sure. But she said something about having to e-mail her teacher an assignment." "On a Saturday morning?" Rebecca wasn't good at lying, never was, and while I pretended not to care about my family, I did still care, especially about Becca. I had to cover for her. And unlike her, I was an expert at lying. "Doesn't she have Ms. Collins this year?" I asked. "What does that have to do with anything?" Dad snapped. Nick looked a little suprised at Dad's hostility but I was used to it. My dad had acted the most hostile to my change, well besides Blake, and he was more vocal about it than Blake was. Mom and Becca still tried to connect with me and get the old me back, or at least find a way to deal with the new me to a certain extent. But Dad condemned everything I did all the time. "It's just, when I had Ms. Collins she used to make us e-mail assignments on the weekends all the times, and if we didn't we got 0s on the assignment." "I don't remember you getting up on Saturdays to do this," Mom said. I shrugged my shoulders. "That's cause I never did. Don't you remember? I barely got a C in Collins's class." I said it partially cause I knew it would piss Dad off. "Of course," he mumbled. "I'm just gonna go," Nick said, putting the plates down on the counter. "Oh Nicholas, you don't have to do that. Sit down, finish your breakfast," Mom insisted. "No, I think it's better if I go. Thanks for the breakfast though. It was amazing." "Well, you're welcome." "Bye," he said and walked out. "Those Jonas boys are nothing but trouble," I mumbled under my breath. "What was that?" Mom asked. "Nothing. My head is still killing me. I'm gonna go lie down." I started towards the stairs. "Wait, Riley, don't you want some breakfast?" I grabbed my stomach. "Eh even thinking about food makes me wanna puke right now." I ran up the stairs. As I walked down the hall to my room and passed Rebecca's room, I heard her crying. I stopped and looked at her door. A couple of years ago, I wouldn't have hesitated in going in to talk it out with her. But we didn't have that relationship anymore. So I just continued to my room and collapsed on the bed. I must've fallen asleep because I woke up to my cell phone ringing. I groaned and looked at the clock. It was 1 o'clock already. I picked up the phone and saw it was Jessie. Great, time to face the music of what I did last night. "Hello?" I said groggily. "You lazy bum, were you still sleeping?" "It's a freaking Saturday morning." "Saturday afternoon, hun, so get your lazy ass up and come meet us." "Jess, I really don't feel good." "Ah the first hangover. You got pretty smashed last night." "Oh I know." "Speaking of which, I heard you left the party with some older guy. You have got to give me details." "What? Oh, no, that was Joe's brother. He's known me since I was like a toddler. He's like a big brother." "Sounds like the perfect opening. Not to mention it would make Joe insanely jealous." "He calls me munchkin." "Eh, it could be cute." "They wear purity rings, Jess," I said cause I knew it would shut her up. "Ew gross." Not the response I was expecting, but it worked. "I'm going back to sleep." "No, you're not. You're coming out with us." "And what gives you that idea?" "Because you are. I dealt with you last night, so you owe me." "Why do you want me to go so badly?" "Cause I don't wanna be the only girl. Come on, please?" "Fine, I just gotta take a shower and get dressed." "All right, meet us at the ice cream place in like half an hour, and try not to pass out or something." "Thanks."
